October 15th, 11:00 am, live on YouTube
Heyho – I’m really looking forward to giving a reading concert for 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA live on YouTube on October 15th at 11 a.m. as part of the online reading festival “Frederick Day 2024”! And the best thing is: EVERYONE can take part and watch, there are no limitations! You can head directly to the reading via this link:
My reading, which will be in German, starts at 11 a.m., and there are lots of other great authors reading on that day, like Jasmin Schaudinn and Frank Maria Reifenberg, with whom I collaborated on LENNY AMONG GHOSTS, which recently has been published in English by Amazon Crossing Kids.
In the reading concert, I will take you into the fantastic underwater world of Jules Verne: While the pictures from the graphic novel run before your eyes, I will read scenes from the comic live to the music of Jörg Walter and bring the adventures of Captain Nemo to life for you!
The event will conclude with a Q&A and a short workshop report that will give insights into the work of a comic artist and my work on 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA especially. I look forward to seeing you on the other side of the monitor! Turn it on!

September 15th, 2:30 pm, G.E. Lessing Public Library, Oststraße 16, 01917 Kamenz
On September 15th I’m traveling to Kamenz (Saxony), looking forward to giving a reading concert for my graphic novel 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA based on Jules Verne (Carlsen Comics) as part of the manga and comic event in the city!
In the reading concert I’ll take you to Jules Verne’s fantastic underwater world and the seven seas: While pictures and scenes from the graphic novel are rolling before your eyes, I will read the dialogue in these scenes live to the music of Jörg Walter and bring Captain Nemo’s adventures to life for you! In the end, I will give a small report about the work of a comic artist (by taking my work on 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA as an example, of course). Copies of the book can also be purchased and signed afterwards. I’m looking forward to seeing you!

July 8th, 2024, Bruns-Weber (farmhouse), Ludwigstraße 57, 67161 Gönnheim
Finally! After a long time, the musician Jörg Walter and I are giving another one of our musical reading of my graphic novel adaptation of THE WAR OF THE WORLDS (H.G. Wells)! This wonderful science fiction classic, which I first heard as a radio play at the age of 11, will be presented in its comic form, accompanied by Jörg’s wonderful music on a historical concert reed organ, at the equally wonderful Pfälzer Comic Salon in Gönnheim, Germany, on one of the farms that grow wine there. While the dramatic and captivating story unfolds before your eyes in colorful images and I read – why, embody – the dialogue, Jörg Walter will improvise elegant, mysterious, symphonic music based on specially composed leitmotifs. It will be a feast for the eyes and ears! The musical reading is in German this time. Don’t miss!
