20,000 Leagues Under The Sea: Book Concert at the Humboldt Library

June 27th, 7:30 pm, Humboldt Library Berlin (-Tegel), Karolinenstraße 19, 13507 Berlin, no Entrance fee (donations appreciated)

t’s that time again on Monday! Together with the musician Jörg Walter, we are starting one of our popular ‘book concerts’ about my graphic novels again: after the success with the musical reading for my WAR OF THE WORLDS graphic novel in the previous years, we are now performing my brand new adaptation of 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA (Carlsen Comics). Join us on our journey to the fantastic underwater world of Jules Verne! I read excerpts from the comic based on his famous classic to music improvisations played live by Jörg, while the panels from the comic roll before your very eyes. We let the adventures of Captain Nemo and his passengers come to life for you!

Here is a short excerpt from the event text: “Anger burns In Captain Nemo against humanity
fighting each other. Thanks to his submarine, the ‘Nautilus’, he now calls the oceans his home.
But when he captures Professor Arronax, his servant Conseil and the harpooner Ned Land, the
outside world invades his kingdom. An adventure begins for all of them as they face the dangers
of the sea and their inner demons.”

So come everyone on 27.06. at 7.30 p.m. to the Humboldt Library in Berlin-Tegel (Karolinenstraße 19, 13507 Berlin) and let yourself be enchanted! Admission is free (but donations are appreciated)!
