From May 30th to June 2nd I can be found at the Comicsalon Erlangen, at the Illustrators Organization (IO) booth, which we share with the Comic Initiative in Bavaria (CiB is an organization within the IO). Our booth is A 39, in the main tent (see the stand plan – source: Comicsalon Erlangen – below). Here’s an overview of my appointments at our stand and elsewhere at the Salon:
(At the Illustrators Organization stand, A 39): Interview with Carolin Reich, self-publisher (books: “Vom Anfang“/„From the Beginning”)
Friday, 2pm (A 39): Interview with Steffen Volkmer (Panini): How to work together as an artist with Panini
Saturday 4:00 p.m.: Tobi Dahmen book signing at the Illustrators Organization stand, A 39
Sunday 10°° (Comic Solidarity stage): Panel on the topic “Funding of comics in Germany”
Sunday 11°° (A 39): Interview with Sten Fink (Carlsen): How to work together as an artist with Carlsen Comics
Sunday, 2pm (as a representative of the Illustrators Organization):
“10 years of comic funding in Germany – a critical survey” (at the Orangerie stage)
The last of which is on the topic of “10 years of comic funding in Germany” (where I sit on the podium together with Lars von Törne, Andreas Platthaus, Birgit Weyhe and Bela Sobottke) and for example not at our booth at A 39, but in the Orangerie in the park. Come by and chat with me or attend one of our great events at our booth (or one of Comic in Bayern next door)! The interviews with Sten Fink (Carlsen Comics) and Steffen Volkmer (Panini) are certainly exciting, as I will ask both of them about, among other things, how collaboration with their publishers works. And: We have Tobi Dahmen at our stand who will be signing! I myself would also be happy to sign something for you in copies of my graphic novels 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA or WAR OF THE WORLDS on the occasions when I am at the stand and when you come by. See you!
