Hello friends! On Sunday, November 20th, we will be guests at KIBUM, the Oldenburg Children’s Book Fair, and will be giving a reading concert of my graphic novel 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA (Carlsen Comics) based on Jules Verne’s famous classic!
In the concert we’ll take you on a journey through the fantastic underwater world of Jules Verne: while the images from the comic are playing before your eyes, I will be reading parts from the book to live music improvisations (played by Jörg Walter on a historic reed organ), and together we’ll let the adventures of Captain Nemo and his passengers come alive for you! Afterwards, if we still have time, I’ll give a small workshop report about how my working process on the graphic novel was like and insights into the work of a comic artist. And of course I’ll be happy to sign your copies of the book.
So let’s go to the “Kulturetage” at Bahnhofstrasse 11 in 26122 Oldenburg, on November 20th – and do this musical under water world tour all together!
